As soon as I saw the Boss Lady Beauty Agenda from Too Faced’s Christmas Collection, both the Stationary and Makeup Addicts inside of me screamed! An eyeshadow palette and a yearly planner all in one? I needed it immediately.
I waited patiently. I was going to ask for it for Christmas but my Mum couldn’t find it anywhere and I could only find it on the Sephora US site, despite the brand being sold in the UK now. so after a bit of digging around and reaching out to the Too Faced stockists over here, I have bad news. UK fans, it doesn’t look as though Debenhams or Selfridges have managed to negotiate supplies of the Christmas Collection 😦 I got similar responses from both of them saying that they are ‘working on it’ but didn’t leave me with much hope so I bit the bullet and paid the extortionate shipping from Sephora. begrudgingly.
So my first impressions of Sephora’s international shipping were pretty impressive. it arrived in less than a week and was packaged really well so I needn’t have worried about shipping something as delicate as an eyeshadow palette so far. But on to the important bit:
What’s in the box?
In the box is what I would describe as a binder? (we don’t really have those in the UK) its like a soft cover with spaces to store a pen and a few other bits of paper and things but most importantly, it stores your palette and the diary.
There is also a deluxe mini Better Than Sex mascara and Melted Liquid lip in Sell Out which is like a muted pinky-mauve colour, really good for the fall/winter season.
The palette contains 24 eyeshadow shades in loads of colours, both neutrals and brights, warm and cool tones, shimmers and mattes. It would be a perfect palette to travel with since it actually has everything. the bottom 3 larger pans contain a highlighter in #Blessed, a bronzer in best-selling shade Chocolate Soleil, complete with chocolate smell, and a blush in Will you Merry Me? My favourite of the shadow shades is the matte shade Love Actually which is just a fantastic pinky crease colour. and the cheek products are in great shades for every skin tone. I was concerned at first that the boozer would be too orange for my pale skin but it blends out fabulously and I got loads of compliments on my makeup when I wore it for Uni.
The planner has a monthly lay out which I’m not always a fan of but the boxes are huge so I’m hoping it will be enough just to jot down notes etc. for things I have planned. there are also pages to note down goals and birthdays and 2 pages of cute stickers. Each month also has a makeup tutorial page at the start of its section. I really can’t wait to start using it.
I hope you’ve got a useful overview of the Boss Lady Beauty Agenda but if you have any other questions feel free to ask either in the comments or over on Instagram @bethtakesonbeauty.
